We spotted a few tweets asking what was being filmed at Ruby's Oyster Bar in Rye on Tuesday. Turns out it was the pilot for CBS's "Madame Secretary."
The TV drama, created and written by Homeland's Barbara Hall, is about the personal and professional life of a maverick secretary of state, played by Tea Leoni. A source tells Suburbarazzi the actress was on set at the restaurant for a scene with four characters dining together.
Crews arrived at the restaurant on Purchase St. at 7 a.m. and stayed until 2 a.m. Due to filming, there was limited parking in municipal lots throughout the day and and traffic was intermittently diverted.
