Sakina Jaffrey is taking a break from upholding the law on "Sleepy Hollow" to guest star on an upcoming episode of CBS's "Madam Secretary."
Zap2it has learned exclusively that the "House of Cards" actress will play Chondita Samant, the Foreign Minister of India and Elizabeth McCord's (Tea Leoni) counterpart in New Delhi who Elizabeth deals with on her first State Department visit abroad. As a member of a new government, Foreign Minister Samant isn't afraid to hold a hard line when it comes to dealing with America.
Much like Jaffrey's "Sleepy Hollow" character, Sheriff Reyes, Foreign Minister Samant is all business. She's unimpressed with Elizabeth's charm and wants to maintain a chilly but professional relationship.
The episode is scheduled to air November 2.
